Dear Subscriber,Thank you for your activism, awareness and commitment — for everything really that YOU have done to fight for the men, women and children of Darfur. Without your support over these last few years, we wouldn’t be where we are today — as an organization or as a movement. Today, I am honored to share our good news…

Save Darfur Coalition and the Genocide Intervention Network have merged to form a new organization: United to End Genocide. We are now the largest activist organization in America dedicated to preventing and ending genocide and mass atrocities worldwide — please take a moment to watch this short video and learn more.

We believe the only way to prevent mass atrocities and to end genocide once and for all, is to build a large, powerful activist network — a sustainable movement — that will sound the alarm and demand action by our elected leaders to protect all people who face threats of genocide — BEFORE it’s too late. And our activism must go beyond what is happening in Sudan — our responsibility as a movement goes beyond this single region and I know that as a long-time supporter you agree.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sending you new ways to get involved with our newly formed organization. But today I want to update you about one our first acts as United to End Genocide. I recently testified at a Congressional hearing on the violence unfolding in South Kordofan, Sudan and the work we’re doing to end genocide and mass atrocities wherever they occur.

Thank you for being a proud supporter of Save Darfur. I think you’ll be truly excited to continue your involvement with United to End Genocide in the coming months.
